Almost every year, there are one or two major soccer tournaments that take place in the summer, and the summer of 2021 is set to be one of the best for all soccer fans. Due to major tournaments getting cancelled in 2020, we get a packed summer of soccer in 2021. Here are some of the big tournaments that will be taking place:
The Euros were originally supposed to take place this past summer, but due to the pandemic the tournament got rescheduled for next summer. The tournament will start on June 11th and end on July 11th. The favorites to win the Euros are either the 2018 World Cup Champions, France, and #1 ranked Belgium.
Prediction to win: France
Just like the Euros, the Copa America was also postponed a year due to the pandemic. This tournament will take place on June 11th and will end on July 10th. The favorites to win the Copa America this year are defending champs Brazil and Lionel Messi’s Argentina.
Prediction to win: Argentina
CONCACAF Gold Cup
The 2021 Gold Cup will be played from July 10th to August 1st. The 2019 Gold Cup went as expected, and the final of the tournament was between Mexico and the United States with Mexico winning, 1-0. The favorites for the 2021 Gold Cup are defending champs Mexico and the United States.

The Summer Olympics
Just like the Euros and the Copa America, the Summer Olympics were supposed to take place this past summer, but were rescheduled to next summer. The soccer portion will take place from July 21st to August 7th. There will be 16 teams in the men’s tournament and 12 teams in the women’s tournament. The favorites for the men’s side are France and Brazil, and the favorite for the women’s side is The United States.
