About the Hosts

Jade Reynoso

Jade Reynoso

Currently a senior studying Interactive Media Studies with minors in journalism and Spanish, Jade loves bringing Latin music to FM89. Her earliest memories of Latin music come from Saturday morning cleaning sessions with her mom, where Latin pop and rock provided the soundtrack to their housework. As a first-generation Mexican American, Jade believes in the power of music and its ability to cross language barriers and connect cultures. When she's not introducing WONC listeners to exciting Latin artists from various decades, you can find her expanding her vinyl record collection, reading a book, or spending time with her dog. Jade stays busy as the Vision & Culture editor for The Chronicle, NCC's student newspaper, and serving coffee as a barista.
Ashly Rico

Ashly Rico

Currently a junior at NCC, Ashly’s love for music began when she was diagnosed with Beatlemania at 7 years old. Since then, she's been obsessed with all things entertainment, including music, TV, architecture, and pop culture. When it comes to Spanish music, the 70s power ballads are still her go to. Ashly's ultimate favorite things are road trips, The Beach Boys, 70’s fashion, MeTV, and Dr. Pepper. Aside from hearing Ashly on Flores y Fuego, she also hosts The Rhythm Rail every Saturday night from 8 to 10, and she hosts Vintage Rock on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
