Rooted in hardcore, metal, and post-punk, SOFT PLAY blend high-energy aggression with lyrics reflecting social and political alienation. Formed in 2012, guitarist Laurie Vincent and drummer Isaac Holman have built a raw sound and have gained attention through relentless touring and intense live performances. Originally known as Slaves, they released multiple EPs and three albums before rebranding in 2022. Under their new name, they’ve pushed their sound further with 2024’s widely acclaimed Heavy Jelly.
